Yes. Our baby wash and shampoo is formulated with 99.25% naturally derived ingredients and 0.75% of nature identical. Free from sulfates, silicones, parabens, PEGs, and synthetic fragrances. We only use gentle, biodegradable plant-based cleansers and soothing botanical oils and extracts.
While our formula is hypoallergenic by design - excluding the most common irritants like Phenoxyethanol - we always recommend a small patch test on the inner arm of newborns to ensure total compatibility with their unique skin chemistry.

Newborn skin and hair share a delicate biological profile: they are roughly 30% thinner than an adult's and lack a fully developed protective barrier. While infants are born with a near-neutral skin surface, it rapidly transitions to a protective acidic state (pH 4.5–5.5) within the first few weeks of life to defend against pathogens.
Many traditional baby soaps are too alkaline, which can strip essential lipids and trigger dryness. Similarly, while many "tear-free" shampoos use a pH of 7.0 to match human tears and prevent stinging, this neutral-to-alkaline level can actually cause the hair cuticle to lift and disrupt the scalp's barrier. Our formula is precisely pH-balanced (sitting between 4.5 and 5.0) to match the natural acidity of healthy skin and hair.
Our wash is concentrated and gentle, so a little goes a long way. Depending on the size of the bath, for a baby bath an amount equivalent to a 50 cent piece should be fine. For a regular bath you may want to double that.
For newborns and babies under 18 months it is advisable to dilute the wash in a tub of water rather than applying directly on the skin.
We prioritise the health of your baby’s skin barrier over high-pH levels often found in traditional tear-free brands. To understand why, it helps to look at the science of pH:
- The "Tear-Free" Trade-off: Human tears have a pH of roughly 7.0 (neutral). Most big-brand baby shampoos match this pH to prevent stinging if the soap gets in the eyes.
- The Skin Barrier Conflict: However, baby skin and hair are naturally acidic, with a healthy pH of roughly 4.5 to 5.5. Washing with a neutral pH 7.0 product can disrupt the "Acid Mantle," damaging the hair cuticle and leaving the skin vulnerable to dryness and bacteria.
We formulate our wash at a biomimetic pH of 4.5 - 5.0. This keeps the skin barrier strong and the hair cuticle sealed. While it does not contain the synthetic numbing agents used to mask eye irritation, our use of ultra-delicate, plant-derived cleansers means it is exceptionally mild. As with any natural soap, we simply recommend using a washcloth or a shield to keep the suds away from the eyes during bath time.
Our formula is designed to be gentle and hydrating, with no harsh sulfates, preservatives or fragrances. While many parents of babies with dry or sensitive skin find it suitable, we always recommend patch testing and consulting your healthcare professional if your baby has a diagnosed skin condition.

In baby care, "Fragrance" is a major red flag. Most products use synthetic "Parfum" to hide phthalates, which are known endocrine disruptors (hormone-altering chemicals). They have been linked to early puberty amongst other hormone issues.
